So the current run down is that CCAA has issued a new batch of referrals. That is great news! But--yes, Virginia, there is always a but--it was only for two days. Yuck!!! So now they have referred through 10/26 (at the beginning of March, CCAA sent referrals through 10/24).
For those who are trying to figure out what this means (who isn't?), it means in 30 days of waiting we are now only 2 days closer to receiving our referral. Referral=know our child, or at least what she looks like, where she is, what her name is, birthday, medical info., etc. It is like if the doctor told a pregnant couple that the delivery date would be pushed back a month.
So what do we do? What we have always done--say the serenity prayer, sit in her room (which is now covered in butterflies), play in the yard, work around the house, oh yeah--work at our jobs some;) We actually do have some things to do, like get our innoculations and more paperwork. And we have some fun activities planned--a friends wedding and the 1st annual DFW Dragon Boat Festival. If you are interested in joining us in the latter, give us a call and we can work out the plans. We would definitely love company!
We are hoping to hear different news this week regarding referrals (maybe a second batch?), but I thought I would at least give an update of what we know so far. In the meantime, I am going to go search for ladybugs.

I am getting so excited for you. I can hardly wait for you to become parents. There is nothing like guiding a child through life and keeping her close to the Lord so they will grow up blessed.
We love you so much and can't wait to see her.
