This is my absolute favorite time during this long wait. Confirmations from agencies are out that CCAA has sent new batches of referrals. We are finally in November! The cut-off date is Nov. 1st. Woo hoo! The fact that we are in November is beautiful.
As soon as we start getting blogs sent in with referral info. I will post them on our blog. I love looking at everyone else's blogs, especially with pictures of the babies.
So what are my predictions on when we will get our referral? I am going to give it a try, even though I have failed miserable every month so far--I predict the 2nd week of August.
For now, Steve and I are continuing our education in Asian cultures. We attended the Dragonboat, Kite, Lantern Festival in Irving yesterday. I am reading The Primal Wound, which discusses the nature of adoption and attachment. We were refingerprinted last Saturday for the elusive I171H. Gracie's room is coming along nicely. Steve stained her toy chest, I bought curtains, and we bought a closet organizer for Gracie's room. We have our waiting families meetings, and I will be meeting with my book club friends this evening, and we attended a beautiful wedding (congrats again, Patsy!) So life is full and good.

SO glad to see that referrals are into November LIDs now. We missed you at the Dragon Boat festival. We were looking for familiar faces. The big Dallas Asian festival is the 19th. Hope to see you there!
