There are rumors floating that the next batch of referrals will go to the 14th of Nov. This is pretty much what I thought. That is 7 days worth of LID's, which has been right on track with what has been happening. The last two months were both 6 days of LID's.
So if the cut off is the 14th, then we have 7 days until our LID. Theoretically we could be NEXT! That would mean we would get our referral around the 1st of August. CCAA issues referrals about every 32 days. It is time for the next batch, but so far no one has gotten theirs (that are NSN-non-special needs--SN are expedited). I say theoretically because our LID is 11/22, which is a huge day...their are many families logged in on that same day. CCAA doesn't even out the numbers--some are huge days, while others are relatively small. I think that CCAA will cut off on the 21st to make 11/22 and 11/23 its own batch (the 23rd is also a huge day). I feel for anyone on the 24th.
As for travel, if we get our referral in Aug. I think we would travel at the end of Sept./first of Oct. If we get our referral in Sept., we would not travel until early Nov. There are 3 weeks in Oct. that are Trade Fair Days in Guangzhou. Most agencies (including ours) don't travel during this time because all airfares and hotel prices are exorbitant.
I wanted to congratulate our friends Dean and Becky on their referral in June. They are anxiously waiting for their travel approvals so they can get their visas and make a consolate appt. and, of course, get their beautiful Paisley!
I also want to send an early congratulations to Chris and Traci, who are expecting their referral any day now for Aimee Li. I love referral time because I get to see all of the beautiful babies:)
And I know that soon it will be our turn to get our Sarah Grace.
All our love,
Jennifer
