It's Official--The 14th is the cut off

Steve taught me how to put the picture here--I am not computer saavy, but can be taught--he, he. So here it is officially. We are 8 measly days away from our LID, yet 2 months from referral. I think that has been our story all along--so close, yet so far away!
We are still keeping busy while we wait--what else can we do? Steve is doing a good bit of travelling for work--good news is he is accruing lots of miles and is a Gold Member of Marriott. Funny thing is that he has earned two free nights at the Marriott in Guangzhou, China or 1/4 of a night at the Marriott in San Antonio. Lol--who would have thought that Guangzhou would be less than San Antonio?
Besides Steve's travel, I am sewing--yes, you heard it right--sewing. Actually, not much--just trying to make a cushion for the window seat in Gracie's room. All I have left in her room are the flowers on the wall and something over her crib. We have already purchased all of the big items except for the pack and play, which I think we will get this weekend, since the one we want is going on sale. That is one good thing about the wait--we chose what we wanted and they have all gone on sale during the wait. That is never a bad thing.
We only have small things to contend with regarding the adoption, except that blasted I171H. I have made calls and sent messages. I am trying to be patient, but as you all know, not one of my finer points-ha, ha, ha. In the meantime, we are anxiously awaiting Traci and Chris' referral and our friends, Jeanne and Jerry, are having twins next week! We are thrilled for all of the new families and can't wait to meet all of the little ones into our lives:)

I'm excited we're only about 6 wks away! I know she's going to be the most beautiful baby ever - and she's going to be in our family!

I can hardly wait to see the three of you together - you and Steve will be beaming. And I'll be a proud Grandmother.

I'm getting excited, can you tell?

Love, Granny
